Praised for her captivating and affecting portrayals in genres ranging from opera, to musical theatre, jazz, folk and pop throughout the United States and abroad, soprano Katherine Henly is quickly becoming known as a crossover artist to watch.

Based in New York, she has performed with LA Opera, Washington National Opera, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Charlottesville Opera, Virginia Opera, in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, The New York International Fringe Festival, The O’Neill National Music Theater Conference, The Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman; and as a young artist with Utah Festival Opera, Ash Lawn Opera, and The Glimmerglass Festival.

As a soloist, Ms. Henly has performed with Utah Lyric Opera, Utah Valley Symphony Orchestra, The Ramsey Wind Symphony, Palisades Virtuosi, Worcester Symphony Orchestra, in concert at Mechanics Hall and Carnegie Hall, and as a Semi-Finalist in the 2017 American Traditions Competition in Savannah, Georgia.

She made her off-Broadway debut as Elsa in Sheldon Harnick’s musical Dragons at The York Theatre Company, and can be heard on the studio recording with Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris. 

Most recently she can be seen in the short film, The Beauty of Disaster, written by Janet Stilson and directed by Nicole Gomez Fisher (Sleeping with the Fishes, HBO) playing on Shorts HD, The Short Movie Channel, and as Emily in Season 2 Episode 4 of The Other F Word, written by Caytha Jentis and directed by Barbara Kanowitz (The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Nickelodeon; Pulp Comics: Jim Breuer and Pulp Comics: Caroline Rhea, Comedy Central) streaming on Amazon. 

 She is a graduate of Ithaca College (B.M.) and Brigham Young University (M.M.).
